3 DAYS IN BARCELONA

The beginning of our trip, let’s start!

Just arrived in Barcelona, after a plane, a RENFE train and a metro, this is the first thing we saw as soon as we went outside the metro “Passeig de Gràcia” 🫶🏻 and in that Moment we knew that Barcelona was going to be extraordinary. We made the “T-casual” transport ticket, that gives you 10 rides for 11€, you can use these rides everywhere also in different days

Then, we went directly to have dinner, we were so hungry. “Arume” is an excellent Spanish restaurant and we had such a good paella here. Basic prices. We paid 45€ for one large paella, 2 bottle of water, 1 cola, 2 coffees.

We stayed at Hostal “La Palmera” and it was a great choice because it located between La Boqueria and Las Ramblas and we paid 25€ per night each. This hostal is the perfect accommodation for whom doesn’t care a lot about the place because is going to spend the entire day outside 🤣 (This is One of the few places with private bathroom)

Let’s start the day with a Spanish must: Xurros! We came here to “Xurrería Manuel San Román” to try the best Xurros in Barcelona, it is located in the heart of Barrio Gotico and the Xurros are a perfect alternative breakfast, you will enjoy it a lot!

We took the metro line to visit the first place of the itinerary of this day: Park Güell We paid 9€ each and we had to book a lot in advance so we recommend you to do the same. You will stay there at least for 1 hour and half. If you can, choose the early morning so you won’t find so much people 💪🏻

2️⃣ Then we went to Casa Vicens, the first opera of Gaudì. Unfortunately that day was closed for renovation so we had the chance to admire it from outside 🥹

We had lunch in this place because it was near the next place of this itinerary. A little bit expensive but they have very good hamburgers. (We payed 50€ for 2 hamburgers, 2 cola and some chicken wings)

So Sagrada Familia is where we spent the afternoon, here we had the best time ever, if you have the chance to visit it inside, take it! We assure you that spending the time inside it will worth it! Sagrada familia inside is simply magnificent. We paid 39€ for the guided tour ❗️BOOK IN ADVANCE

After 2 hours visiting Sagrada Familia and a lot of walk, we were so hungry and we went to the most Famous market of Barcelona: “La Boqueria”. Here you can find absolutely EVERYTHING, every kind of Spanish food for few euros. We had dinner here with 15€ for both of us Please try Jamón Ibérico… it is sublime.

At night, we had a quick walk through Barrio Gotico to see the Cathedral of Barcelona. Our day ended here because we were so tired so we came back to B&b.

After a quick breakfast we went to “La Pedrera” to get that it was closed for renovation. So we went directly to the next part of the itinerary

One of the most beautiful thing it was being in this beautiful home and listen to Gaudì’s story. The inner part of this home is simply fascinating and so immersive, it seems that the artist is there with you. The ticket with audio tour costed a little bit (about 39€) but we are sure you will love it.

After Casa Batlló, we had a walk as usual and we crossed Las Ramblas and Catalunya’s Square, it was a good sunny day and we had a great time

So… here we go again! We tried other delicious foods here and believe me, you will literally love this place.

So this is the beginning of Barrio Gotico! One of our favourite place of all Barcelona! Let’s discover together this wonderful district

Here You will love each street, each palace, each building. You will feel as a citizen of an ancient past.

The Cathedral of Barcelona during the day is even more beautiful, it’s so majestic and so detailed. But in front of the Cathedral there is a secret street, with a secret place…..

Here we are, the beautiful “Kiss of Freedom”. Tons of mosaics images of love that compose a giant and wonderful big kiss. We loved this place and it was completely free 🙏🏻

From Barrio Gotico we took the metro to arrive to Montjuic Mont where we had our next experience. The “teleferic”!

At the end of the Teleferic there is a castle with a lot of wonderful gardens where you will have one of the most beautiful view on Barcelona. We spent a little bit of time relaxing on the lateral side of the castle with Barceloneta view 🫶🏻

We took another metro to get to Catalunya Square, from there we went visiting a very particular place.

Here we were at Les Galeries Maldà, a place where comics’ lovers will freak out! You will see every kind of shop: Harry Potter, Willy Wonka, Stranger Thing, Funko and so many other.

Our dinner was in this place called “Burritos” where we had our best burrito ever, there is a lot of choice between the ingredient and also the prices were good, about 30€ total After, we went back to B&b

We wanted so badly to come here. “Brunells” is one of the best historical bar of all Barcelona for breakfast and sweets and you can find it in the heart of Born district. The croissant was simply sublime. A little bit expensive but it is absolutely worth it.

The first stop of our last day in Barcelona it has been Triumphal Arch which is huge and majestic. Absolutely stunning.

In front of Triumphal Arch you can go to Ciutadella Park, a big quiet place where having some relaxing time. There is a bar, a little lake, a lot of space where have picnics, a castle and huge fountain with wonderful stairs and sculptures. We stayed here a good hour before leaving and going to the airport.

We arrived to the end of our journey but it is still not time to return back home!
