🇮🇹 Sono arrivata a Saragozza dall’aeroporto di Milano Bergamo in due ore circa. 🇬🇧 I arrived in ZaragAljaferíaMilan Bergamo airport in about two hours. STORIA La città ha una storia antica, risalente all’epoca romana, quando era conosciuta come “Caesaraugusta”. Dal medioevo in poi, Saragozza è stata un punto di incontro di diverse culture, che hanno lasciato il segno nei monumenti e nella cultura della città. 🇬🇧 STORY The city has an ancient history, dating back to Roman times, when it was known as "Caesaraugusta". From the Middle Ages onwards, Zaragoza has been a meeting point of different cultures, which have left their mark on the city's monuments and culture. LUOGHI PIU’ IMPORTANTI DA VISITARE 🇬🇧 MOST IMPORTANT PLACES TO VISIT Uno dei luoghi più interessanti da visitare a Saragozza è la Basilica del Pilar. Costruita nel XVI secolo per commemorare l’apparizione della Vergine Maria alla Santa Elisabetta, la basilica è un esempio di stile barocco ed è decorata con affreschi e sculture di grande valore che vi lascerà senza parole. 🇬🇧 One of the most interesting places to visit in Zaragoza is the Basilica del Pilar. Built in the 16th century to commemorate the apparition of the Virgin Mary to Saint Elizabeth, the basilica is an example of Baroque style and is decorated with frescoes and sculptures of great value that will leave you speechless. CATTEDRALE DI SAN SALVADOR E ALJAFERÍA Non lontano dalla Basilica del Pilar è possibile visitare la Cattedrale di San Salvador, un edificio gotico del XIV secolo. La cattedrale è famosa per la sua grande cupola, che domina la città, ed è costellata di affreschi, sculture e vetrate che rappresentano la storia e le tradizioni cristiane. PALAZZO DE LA LONJA Il Palazzo de la Lonja è un altro dei punti di interesse principali di Saragozza. Questo palazzo rinascimentale, situato nel centro della città, è stato costruito nel XVI secolo ed è famoso per la sua architettura e per i suoi affreschi. Il palazzo ospita anche una mostra permanente di arte contemporanea da visitare assolutamente. Un’altra attrazione da non perdere è la Aljafería, un palazzo islamico del XI secolo. La sua architettura è unica nella sua bellezza e si caratterizza per i suoi magnifici giardini, le sale di rappresentanza, le torri e la moschea. Infine, un’esperienza che non si può perdere è una visita al mercato di El Tubo, che è una vera e propria esperienza gastronomica, in cui è possibile assaggiare i prodotti locali e i piatti tradizionali. Perdetevi tra le stradine del centro e non ve ne pentirete!! 🇬🇧 CATHEDRAL OF SAN SALVADOR Not far from the Basilica del Pilar you can visit the Cathedral of San Salvador, a 14th century Gothic building. The cathedral is famous for its large dome, which dominates the city, and is dotted with frescoes, sculptures and stained glass windows representing Christian history and traditions. PALACE DE LA LONJA AND ALJAFERÍA The Palace de la Lonja is another of the main points of interest in Zaragoza. This Renaissance palace, located in the city center, was built in the 16th century and is famous for its architecture and frescoes. The palace also hosts a permanent exhibition of contemporary art that is absolutely worth visiting. Another attraction not to be missed is the Aljafería, an 11th century Islamic palace. Its architecture is unique in its beauty and is characterized by its magnificent gardens, state rooms, towers and mosque. Finally, an experience that cannot be missed is a visit to the El Tubo market, which is a real gastronomic experience, where you can taste local products and traditional dishes. Get lost in the streets of the center and you won't regret it!!

LA REPUBLICANA RESTAURANT Se volete mangiare bene e spendere poco, vi consiglio il ristorante “La Republicana”, che si trova nel centro della città. If you want to eat well and spend little, I recommend the “La Republicanaa” restaurant in the city centre.

🇮🇹 San Sebastián è anche una delle principali destinazioni turistiche della Spagna. CASTELLO DI SAN TELMO La più importante attrazione di San Sebastián è il Castello di San Telmo, una fortezza medievale che sovrasta la città. Il castello è ora un museo che ospita una ricca collezione di oggetti storici connessi alla storia della città. Non lontano dal castello si trova anche il Monumento della Costituzione, uno dei simboli più importanti di San Sebastián. 🇬🇧 San Sebastián is also one of Spain's main tourist destinations. SAN TELMO CASTLE San Sebastián's most important attraction is San Telmo Castle, a medieval fortress that overlooks the city. The castle is now a museum housing a rich collection of historical objects connected to the history of the city. CATTEDRALE DEL BUON PASTORE La Cattedrale del Buon Pastore è una delle più grandi cattedrali in stile barocco in Spagna ed è stata costruita nel XVIII secolo sul sito di una chiesa più antica risalente all‘XI secolo. La sua imponenza vi lascerà senza parola soprattutto verso l’ora del tramonto in cui viene illuminata. Recatevi poi in Plaza De La Constitucion che rappresenta il luogo della movida di San Sebastian. Anticamente questa piazza di forma rettangolare, situata nel centro storico della città, era l’arena dentro cui si svolgevano le corride. Oggi possiamo trovare locali, bar, ristoranti di ottima cucina spagnola. 🇬🇧 CATHEDRAL OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd is one of the largest Baroque-style cathedrals in Spain and was built in the 18th century on the site of an older church dating back to the 11th century. Its grandeur will leave you speechless especially towards sunset when it is illuminated. Then go to Plaza De La Constitucion which represents the place of nightlife in San Sebastian. In ancient times this rectangular square, located in the historic center of the city, was the arena in which bullfights took place. Today we can find clubs, bars and restaurants serving excellent Spanish cuisine. SPIAGGIA LA CONCHA Visitate poi la spiaggia di La Concha lunga di circa 1,2 km si estende lungo la costa con una vista panoramica sul golfo e dove potete trovare gli abitanti del luogo che si fanno una passeggiata nel weekend con tutta la famiglia. Se percorrerete tutto il tragitto, arriverete al Pettine del Vento è una delle opere più importanti e famose dell’artista Eduardo Chilida. Si tratta di un complesso scultoreo costituito da tre ancore di acciaio che sono posizionate su tre rocce rosse di granito. che affacciano direttamente sul mare, dove si sentono solo il rumore dell’infrangersi delle onde e del soffiare del vento. 🇬🇧 LA CONCHA BEACH Then visit the beach of La Concha, about 1.2 km long, which extends along the coast with a panoramic view of the gulf and where you can find the locals taking a walk on the weekend with the whole family. If you follow the entire route, you will arrive at the Comb of the Wind, one of the most important and famous works by the artist Eduardo Chilida. It is a sculptural complex made up of three steel anchors which are positioned on three red granite rocks. which directly overlook the sea, where you can only hear the sound of the crashing of the waves and the blowing of the wind. Mentre tornate indietro fate una sosta al Palazzo di Miramar che è una delle antiche residenze estive della famiglia reale spagnola e sorge su un’area di più di 34.000 metri quadri. Pensate che l’edificio in questione fu realizzato in stile Tudor e assomiglia molto agli antichi cottage inglesi. 🇬🇧 On your way back, make a stop at Miramar Palace which is one of the ancient summer residences of the Spanish royal family and stands on an area of more than 34,000 square meters. CATTEDRALE DI BURGOS Avviamoci ora verso la Cattedrale di Burgos, uno dei più grandi edifici religiosi in Spagna. La cattedrale è stata costruita tra il XIII e il XV secolo ed è un esempio di architettura gotica. 🇬🇧 BURGOS CATHEDRAL Let's now move towards Burgos Cathedral, one of the largest religious buildings in Spain. The cathedral was built between the 13th and 15th centuries and is an example of Gothic architecture. Procediamo poi verso il Castello, fortezza risalente al IX secolo, prima baluardo difensivo e poi residenza reale e prigione, da cui si gode di un bel panorama sulla città. Imperdibile poi la Plaza Mayor, centro simbolico della città e ideale cuore pulsante, e a seguire l’edificio storico Casa Cordòn. 🇬🇧 We then proceed towards the Castle, a fortress dating back to the 9th century, first a defensive bastion and then a royal residence and prison, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. SUGGERIMENTO Se avete voglia di camminare un’oretta, non perdetevi il Monastero di Las Huelgas, una fortezza cistercense costruita nel XII secolo, dove respirerete un’aria magica e dove potrete ammirare una chiesa veramente meravigliosa come poche altre. 🇬🇧 SUGGESTION If you feel like walking for an hour, don't miss the Monastery of Las Huelgas, a Cistercian fortress built in the 12th century, where you will breathe a magical air and where you can admire a truly marvelous church like few others.

🇮🇹 CATTEDRALE DI LEON Una delle principali attrazioni da visitare è la Cattedrale di Leon, una delle più grandi cattedrali gotiche in Spagna. E’ la cattedrale che più mi ha lasciata a bocca aperta dopo quella di Burgos. All’interno della navata principale si rimane affascinati da quasi 2000 metri quadrati di vetrate dai colori sgargianti, dove si possono ammirare le storie dell’antico testamento. 🇬🇧 LEON CATHEDRAL One of the main attractions to visit is the Leon Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Spain. It is the cathedral that left me speechless the most after the one in Burgos. Inside the main nave f you remain fascinated by almost 2000 square meters of brightly colored windows, where you can admire the stories of the Old Testament. MONASTERO DI SAN ISIDORO Altre cose da vedere a Leon sono il Monastero di San Isidoro, una chiesa romanica una splendida chiesa realizzata nel XI secolo sull’antico tempio romano dedicato a Mercurio, e che è considerata la “Cappella sistina” del romanico spagnolo. Il soprannome è dovuto alla maestosa decorazione ad affresco che copre buona parte degli interni della chiesa. 🇬🇧 SAN ISIDORO MONASTERY Other things to see in Leon are the Monastery of San Isidoro, a splendid Romanesque church built in the 11th century on the ancient Roman temple dedicated to Mercury, and which is considered the "Sistine Chapel" of Spanish Romanesque. The nickname is due to the majestic fresco decoration that covers a large part of the church's interior. PLAZA MAYOR Plaza Mayor, trionfo dell’architettura barocca dove sorge il palazzo comunale, conosciuto come il Balcón de la Ciudad, per via dell’usanza dei nobili di Leon di osservare dall’alto dei suoi balconi lo svolgersi delle attività cittadine. Casa Botines, progettata dal famosissimo architetto catalano Antoni Gaudí alla fine dell’Ottocento come nuova sede dell’associazione degli artigiani tessili di León. 🇬🇧 PLAZA MAYOR Plaza Mayor, a triumph of baroque architecture where the town hall stands, known as the Balcón de la Ciudad, due to the custom of the nobles of Leon of observing the unfolding of city activities from the top of its balconies. 🇮🇹 COSA VEDERE NEL CENTRO DI OVIEDO Da vedere a Oviedo sono la Cattedrale di San Salvador, una chiesa romanica che risale al X secolo, con una ricca storia e una lunga tradizione e la Parrocchia San Juan El Real costituita da vetrate colorate che vi lasceranno senza parole. Il Palazzo della Riforma è un edificio storico che risale al XIX secolo. Si tratta di un edificio in stile neoclassico che ospita una galleria d‘arte e una biblioteca. È un luogo imperdibile per chi ama l‘arte e la cultura. Il Parco di San Francisco che è uno dei più grandi parchi di Oviedo ed ospita una varietà di alberi, piante e fiori, oltre a un laghetto artificiale. It is a perfect place for a nice walk among nature. PLAZA DE LA CONSTITUCIÓN Il Museo di Oviedo è un altro imperdibile luogo da visitare. Si tratta di un museo che ospita una vasta collezione di arte e di storia, inclusi dipinti, sculture, manufatti e altro ancora. È un luogo perfetto per chi vuole conoscere meglio la storia della città. Plaza de la Constitución è una delle più belle piazze di Oviedo. 🇮🇹 Infine, il viaggio arriva a Santiago de Compostela che è stata dichiarata Patrimonio dell’Umanità dall’UNESCO anche grazie alla sua particolare composizione di vicoli, piazze ed edifici in granito di stampo medioevale. 🇬🇧 Finally, the journey arrives in Santiago de Compostela which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO thanks to its particular composition of alleys, squares and medieval-style granite buildings. LA CATTEDRALE A dominare la piazza è senza dubbio la fantastica Cattedrale, un gioiello in pietra di granito che custodisce la tomba dell’apostolo Giacomo. Per legge è vietato costruire qualsiasi monumento che ostruisca la sua visibilità e questo rende la Cattedrale ammirabile da ogni angolo della città. E’ una grande emozione vedere i pellegrini che, arrivati dal cammino di Santiago, si abbracciano emozionati, felici di aver completato una grande esperienza di vita ed entrano dentro il complesso, per assistere alla Messa di benvenuto all’interno della fantastica cattedrale. Altre attrazioni da vedere a Santiago sono il Monastero di San Martino Pinario, un complesso monastico risalente al XIIII secolo e il Palazzo de Rajoy, una grande residenza privata costruita nel XVIII secolo. 🇬🇧 THE CATHEDRAL Dominating the square is undoubtedly the fantastic Cathedral, a jewel in granite stone which houses the tomb of the apostle James. Other attractions to see in Santiago include the Monastery of San Martino Pinario, a monastic complex dating back to the 13th century, and the Palazzo de Rajoy, a large private residence built in the 18th century.
