The magical island of Menorca

I flew from Bilbao to Menorca with Vueling Airlines. Vueling has flights from other airports in Spain as well. The Bilbao airport is small but has a lot of flights within Spain and some abroad. If you’re visiting the North or live in the North like I do, it’s a great airport for domestic travel. All COVID procedures were followed. We wore masks the entire time

Check into Sant Joan Apartments. We rented a 1-bedroom that had a kitchen, living room and balcony. It was adults only with a pool and bar/restaurant. The only downside was that it could be noisy at night. The facility also had an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. There was ample street parking as well This place is on the other end of the island closer to Ciutadella. You can walk to Cala en Forcat if you want to take a swim. It’s also not far from restaurants and shops.

We took a walk down to this cala. A great place for a swim. The water isn’t super deep. You can walk around it aa well.

We had an evening cocktail here. The drink prices were a bit more expensive but this spot has a great atmosphere. I had a strawberry margarita and paid around 14€. They call spots like these “chill outs” because that’s what you do at them.

We spent the morning at the beach.

We explored Ciutadella as the sun was setting. It was the perfect time to do so since it was so hot during the day.

This is one of the prettiest calas in Menorca. You need to arrive early otherwise they fill up.

In the evening, we explored this small village on the interior of Menorca.

We did an excursion with Menorca en Kayak. We kayaked out to a small island.

After kayaking, we explored this natural park. It’s absolutely beautiful.

We caught the sunset here. It’s a beautiful spot.

I had a light dinner here. This sandwich is sobrasada and cheese.

We spent a few hours exploring this village and having lunch here.

We had a lovely sunset dinner here. Be sure to call several days in advance to make reservations.

We used the morning to explore Mahón on foot.

We wandered around this all-white village. I would recommend going earlier in the morning or later in the day.
