Have tapas at the iconic El Pimpi - and enjoy the view of La Alcazaba! 🏰 Built between 1057 and 1063, this is probably the most important military fortification remaining from the Hispanic-Arabic period. Now the Alcazaba is more a set of ruins but worth a visit.

Explore Malaga City 🇪🇸 To do: 🛳️Visit the Port Heading towards the beach, we have to go through the Muele Uno promenade, and then the shopping arcade, consisting of various cafes, restaurants, shops and boutiques. Walking along the port, we come across parks, playgrounds, moored yachts, and (to the surprise of many people) a chapel built in 1732. 🌽mercado central de atarazanas one thing you should definitely do is to stroll through the Atarazanas food market. Not only is the building itself well worth your time, but as well the local, seasonal food treasures. The building that houses this market was actually not made for that purpose. It was a shipyard and is of Arabian origin - and the name "Atarazanas" means in fact "place where ships are repaired". ⛪️ Malaga Cathedral: Built in the Renaissance architectural tradition, this stunning Roman Catholic church is one of Malaga's most important attractions. If you climb the tower - you'll have a stunning viewpoint of the whole City. Normal price is €6 but you can go for free on Sundays between 2 and 6pm. Opening time mon-sat 10am to 6pm

⛵️Take a catamaran sunset boat trip from the Port Duration: 1.5 hours Time: 6.30 pm (depends on season) Price: €20

Daytrip to Fuengirola or Marbella 💃🏼We attended the The Feria Internacionales de los Pueblos which is a Fair happening once a year during spring. If you're not going for that special occasion I'd recommend going to Marbella instead. Marbella is known for its idyllic coastline and luxury lifestyle. It's renowned for the 'Golden Mile,' a stretch of premier villas, private beaches, and five-star hotels. Also a perfect area to have a beach day! To do: Puerto Banús Plaza De Los Naranjos The old town Paseo Maritimo Alameda Park Bonsai Museum

🇪🇸 Daytrip to Nerja Leave Malaga around 8am to Nerja where we did a SUP+snorkeling tour (€25,10 each). Buses to Nerja run very frequently at reasonable prices. I was 3 hours where you're told some history of the area - what kind of fish and wildlife is in this part of Andelusia and get to snorkel.

Spend the rest of the Day in Frigiliana: There is a bus straight to the city from Nerja for just €1. (or taxi) Frigiliana is an absolute must-see when you visit Spain. It is part of Andalusia's famous white towns and the perfect vacation spot. To do: Vista Panoramica This spot in the heart of the old town has the best views of Frigiliana, hands down! You'll find a little restaurant just a few metres away where you can get a drink and escape the heat for a while. Take a tourist train through frigiliana's streets: If you want to learn more about life in Frigiliana and don't feel like walking around all day why not take the tourist train? It costs only 3€ and takes you to many of the important places around town. Plus you'll get an audio guide in either Spanish or English. Go on a walk through the Varribarto The Barribarto is the old town of Frigiliana. This is where you'll find the famous narrow streets with their white houses and eye-catching doors

Trip to Caminito del Rey Leaving Malaga ca. 11.30am to El Chorro 💡FAQ's about the Caminito: Disclaimer - the guided tour only includes the new walkway and not the options of climbing, using the via ferrata cable or anything else. Will I need my own equipment? No, you'll be provided with a hairnet and helmet at the entrance point. Wearing a safety helmet is mandatory! How much does it cost? You can reserve and purchase your ticket through the Caminito del Rey website or directly at the northern access point of the Caminito, at the ticket office. A single ticket is €10 and the shuttle bus is €2.5 (ONLY cash). If you want a guided tour - do as me - and book through GetYourGuide. It's €29 and you'll hear the fascinating tales and legends surrounding Caminito del Rey and the Andelusian part of Spain. What does a ticket include? A single ticket allows you to walk freely in both directions as many times as you want during the day. If you choose a guided-tour - it of course includes a guide who will tell you everything you want to know about the trail, the area and other recommendations. How long does it take to walk? Depends on how many stops you take. The path is not difficult but you want to stop and take in the views! So about 1,5-2 hours. How to get there? There’s a direct train to and from Malaga Train station! Is it worth it? YES, absolutely! I went to Málaga for my birthday in May this year - and my friend and I took the guided tour as a part of our visit. I would not have been without it!
