Paros and Milos

We arrived via Paros airport and hired a car from SIXT car rentals at the airport counter for 55€ per day including full insurance and 0 excess to get us around the island.

We checked into our accomodation in Naousa. This was a great place to stay, walking distance to the town of Naousa but out far enough to be quiet at night. The owner was so lovely.

After checking in we freshened up and went for a walk around Naousa and checked out the area.

We went to Marmitta for dinner and drinks. This was such a beautiful spot. It was a bit more on the expensive side but worth the money. We had an early night ready for our boat tour in the morning.

We drove to Aliki to catch our half day boat tour around Paros. We went with Rofos boat tours and did the morning tour. It was a great morning and a pretty good tour for the price. I think we paid 40€. We recommend doing a boat tour in Paros as this is where you will find all the beautiful turquoise water.

After the boat tour we drove to Parokia and grabbed a gyros and walked around the old town.

We went back to our accomodation and had some wines and played UNO.

We walked into the town in Naousa for more Gyros and grabbed a drink at a local bar.

We woke up nice and early and grabbed some pastry’s and coffee on our way to Kolympethres beach. We spent a good portion of the morning here just sun baking, reading and swimming.

We stopped at Amenos Taverna for lunch and had a huge and delicious Moussaka.

We drove to Lefkes a small village in Paros and had a wander around the cute streets.

Another beach spot, this time to Santa Maria beach. This was a long sandy beach and we spent more time just relaxing, soaking up the sun and swimming.

We headed back to our accomodation to freshen up and then walked down to the port for some drinks. We had drinks here and then decided to also have dinner. Stepped away from the Greek food here and one of the best mushroom risottos.

Our last day in Paros, we caught the ferry over with our car to Antiparos. The weather wasn’t great when we left so we spent the morning having breakfast and then went for a walk around the port town and did a bit of shopping.

We visited the cave of antiparos which was really cool, entry was free and we walked all the way down and took some photos. The weather had started to warm up by the time we left here.

We stopped at this beach that was on the side of the road to have a swim and relax before heading back to the port.

We had a late lunch of Gyros and went to grab a drink at another bar/restaurant before heading back to the port to catch the ferry back to Paros.

We dropped our rental car back off at the main port and caught the ferry from Paros to Milos.

We checked into our new accomodation in Milos. Quickly headed out for a quick bite and then went to bed.

We had a sleep in this morning and then spent the morning doing some washing. The place was self service so we had to keep coming back to take our stuff out of washer and then dry it so this took a good portion of our morning.

Our first stop on the ATV’s was Fyriplaka beach. We spend some time here swimming and sun baking. The water was quite rough here but was still beautiful for swimming.

Our next stop was Tsigrado beach which is a remote beach only accessible by a few sketchy ladders. Unfortunately the water didn’t look too great from the top so we didn’t end up going down as we didn’t think the trek was worth it.

We headed back to our accomodation to freshen up and then headed to the small fishing village of Klima, we just had a look around and took some photos. There is a restaurant here but apparently it’s not the best seafood. The sun was just starting to set here so it was quite beautiful, would be a great spot to take some beers or wine and watch the sunset.

We headed to Plaka Castle to watch the sunset which was just amazing. Get here early to secure a good spot as it’s a popular place to watch.

We went here for dinner. There wasn’t a whole lot of options for food in Plaka and this seemed to be the busiest. To be honest the food wasn’t great and was quite expensive but the place had a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I can imagine it gets crazy busy during peak season. We headed back to our hotel after dinner.

The most famous spot on the island, we came here early to try and avoid the crowds but there was still busses of tourists here when we arrived. Unique Moonlike landscapes and popular for jumping off the rocks.

Our next stop was Alogomandra beach which is a sandy cove sandwiched between flat white rocky cliffs. We spent some time here relaxing and swimming.

Next swimming spot was Papafragas Caves. A channel of water that runs between a little gorge. Lots of swimming spots and caves to explore. We spent a little bit of time here but ultimately had already had way too much sun and decided to move on and find somewhere to eat.

We drove to Pollonia and had lunch at the wharf here. Cute little town, this place also had a beach but we had already had enough sun by this stage so we just ate here.

The cutest little fishing village we came to take photos but apparently there is a great restaurant here called Medusa’s that I wish we got to try. There is also a gorgeous beach and we decided to go for one last swim for the day.

We came back to our hotel and grabbed some beers from the supermarket to have back at our room while we paid some uno and listened to music. We then went to Gyros of Milo’s for yet another Gyros 🤪 before coming home to bed as we had a full day boat trip booked in the morning.

We met our boat tour at Adamas port. This was a full day catamaran tour of Milos. It included food and unlimited drinks and went around the whole island of Milos, including popular spots such as Kleftiko which is only accessible via boat. This is one of the most popular things to do on Milos and we highly recommend the guys from Polco Sailing. It was our favourite day on the Greek islands!

We came here for breakfast before heading back to our room to pack our bags as we were leaving Milos today. The rest of the day was spent just waiting around for our ferry to Athens. 🙃 We had such a great time on the Greek islands and I’m so happy with the two islands we picked, they were both so different and we enjoyed our time in both but we especially enjoyed Milos which was a highlight for us!
