Greek Getaway

Long haul flight to Athens. We had stopovers in Singapore and Munich. Helped to break up the trip.

Landing in Athens was our first stop on our two week trip to Greece.

Such great food and amazing views! Staff were so friendly and accommodating.

We missed our first ferry from the port of Parakia to Mykonos. Thankfully we were able to get another. TIP: The port in Athens has many gates. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to arrive.

We spent the day Exploring Mykonos, we were staying in the city centre, could walk everywhere. Saw the windmills in the day and at sunset. We enjoyed an amazing dinner in Little Venice too.

Super close to everything. Right next to public bus which we caught from Port to city centre.

Day trip to the ancient ruins on the Island, Delos. Short trip on the ferry to the Island from Mykonos. Had an amazing guide and plenty of opportunities to take pictures.

Using public bus, which is super cheap! Able to get around to some of the beautiful village in Paros.

This was such a great place to stay! It wasn't the most luxurious, but it was in a nice quiet area, only a five minute walk to bus stop and ferry port to Antiparos which you could see from the apartment.

Trip around Antiparos, swimming in the gorgeous waters and eating traditional souvlaki for the first time.

Headed over to Antiparos using the ferry for dinner and walking the streets of an evening. Everything is all lit up and open for shopping, dining and drinking.

Spent the day in Naxos on a coach for a day excursion to the villages. We tried the local drink Kitron, which is made from the fruit.

Really beautiful suite in the middle of town! Could see and walk to the port and restaurants.

Explored Fira and Oia! Oia sunsets were gorgeous and the cliffs that all the villages were perched upon was a must see!

The name of the accommodation is Villa Murano. It was in a great location, about a 10 minute walk to main town of Fira.

Booked a front row table to eat a delicious dinner whilst watching the sun set in Ammoudi Bay, Oia.

Day tour on old wooden boat to the Caldera, Volcano walk and hot springs!

Gorgeous beaches! Such a unique spot!

The name of the accommodation in Milos is Aphrodite Diamond. It was a really nice little apartment but quite a walk from town. Doable, but probably around 20 minutes.

Before flying out that night for home, we did a tour of the Parthenon.

Name of hotel was Athens Golden City. So close to train station which was perfect for catching to the airport for our flight out.
