Highlights of Samos

Arrival at Samos airport, I suggest renting a car and picking it up here so you can start your holiday right away!

If you are staying close to Samos town I suggest spending the day here on your first day. Exploring the streets, swimming in the sea, eating in the restaurants.

This little seaside town is definitely worth a visit, or two! Charming streets, nice shops and cosy restaurants. There are also beautiful beaches nearby.

How about starting the day with something sweet? Kalimera Cafe is a nice place right next to the sea. Also a great place for lunch and diner.

A beautiful beach right next to Kokkari. There are sunbeds you can hire and the sea is nice and calm here. Bring a snorkelset!

This is a great beachbar and restaurant with nice food, also vegan options!

Lets explore Pythagorio, one of the oldest towns on Samos. It has a nice harbor where you can take boattrips or just enjoy the atmosphere.

The famous blue street in Pythagorio is a must visit. Blue everywhere! Typical Greek charm.

Between all the delicious Greek food you could use some healthy food. A great place for a nice smoothie!

This is a great beach bar and definitely a nice place to swim in the sea and relax on the sunbeds. There is a parking place available.

Back to Pythagorio for dinner! This restaurant is in a nice square where you can enjoy nice meals.

Close to Pythagorio you will find this nice hotel if you want to stay on this side of the island.

Samos is not a flat island, it does have mountains and there are lovely villages there. Vourliotes is one of the most beautiful ones. It isn't big but the views are great and the streets are charming to see.

In the middle of the town there is a nice square where you can have a drink or a cup of coffee.

Thd next mountain village is Manolates. You could do a hike between these two villages. It takes about 2,5 hours and are moderate. The village is lovely to wander through.

After visiting those villages it can be nice to go to a nice beach again. Lemonakia is a quiet one with sunbeds to hire.

At the beach you can eat at Andreas place, it is known for it's great seafood!

If you want to stay in this area this is a nice hotel close to the beach.

Start your day with a nice breakfast at this coffee place!

Livadaki beach is in the North of Samos and a stunning beach. Best to visit in the morning when it is quiet and the sea is calm. There is a parking place nearby and a beachbar. Sunbeds are free if you get a drink there. You can also rent kayaks.

Another beautiful beach is Mourtia. There are a lot of colorful fishing boats here and the sea is great for snorkelling.

If you want to eat Greek Meze or Tapas this is the place!

The highlight of my trip was doing a sunset tour with Samos Outdoors. You can see places where you woudn't go with your rental car. The sunset is stunning to see in the mountains of Samos!

Lets go on an adventure! There are waterfalls you can visit in Samos wich are beautiful. The hike is not difficult and it doesn't take long.

All the way in the south is Potami beach, where you can visit the waterfalls or do a hike to Microseitani beach.

This is paradise! The views, the beach.. you can only reach it by hiking there. It takes about 45 minutes and the path goes up and down.

Time for some good food back in Kokkari!

The last dsy so take it easy visiting towns and beaches like this one in Posidonio.
