Essa venne edificata in stile neo gotico tra il 1856-1879, come ex-voto per un attentato fallito all'imperatore Francesco Giuseppe I da parte di un indipendentista ungherese nel 1853. 🇬🇧 The Votivkirche (votive church), a church dedicated to the Divine Redeemer is one of the major places of worship in Vienna. 🇮🇹 La Kirche zum Heiligen Franz von Assisi, nota anche come Chiesa del Giubileo imperiale è una basilica cattolica a due passi dalle rive del Danubio. Una posizione che la rende ancora più suggestiva. La chiesa fu costruita tra il 1898 e il 1910 per celebrare il 50° anniversario del regno dell’imperatore Francesco Giuseppe I d’Austria. Per l’occasione venne organizzato un concorso che avrebbe visto realizzare il progetto più bello. Il vincitore fu l’architetto Victor Luntz (1840–1903), ma in seguito alla sua morte l’opera fu completata da August Kirstein (1856-1939). Fu così costruita una struttura grandiosa, in stile romanico renano, ispirata alla Grande Chiesa di San Martino di Colonia. Nel 1913 avvenne l’inaugurazione, presenziata dall’imperatore. 🇮🇹 Il Prater è il parco divertimenti di Vienna! In questo viaggio il Prater lo siamo andati a visitate giorno, pomeriggio e di sera! L’ingresso è gratuito e si pagano direttamente le singole giostre! Qualé miglior occasione per divertirsi un po’ in vacanza e fare qualche foto particolare?! 🇬🇧 The Prater is Vienna's amusement park! 🇮🇹 Vienna la sera è molto scenica e devo dire che è una città molto giovanile! L’usanza tra i ragazzi (visti gli altissimi prezzi di bar e pub) è quella di comprare da bere e da mangiare e fare come una sorta di picnic, lungo il canale e nelle zone apposite, dove hanno la possibilità di creare luoghi di condivisione, tranquilli seduti a terra! 🇬🇧 Vienna in the evening is very scenic and I must say that it is a very young city! The custom among young people (given the very high prices in bars and pubs) is to buy drinks and food and have a sort of picnic, along the canal and in special areas, where they have the possibility to create places to share , rest assured sitting on the ground!

🇮🇹 La famosissima Sacher a Vienna! Che fai, vai a Vienna e non assaggi la tradizionale Sacher viennese all’antico e famosissimo Hotel Sacher? Preparati però al conto salato! Una fetta di torta viene ben 8 euro, soldi a mio avviso spesi bene il Cafè è molto bello, curato e trasmette un’atmosfera rilassata e dotta. L’usanza a Vienna è quella di passare ore ed ore al Cafè davanti ad un buon tè a parlare e a rifocillarsi in compagnia. Cosa a cui noi italiani non siamo molto abituati, basti pensare che il caffè al banco non lo prende davvero nessuno solo noi “turisti" 🇬🇧 The very famous Sacher in Vienna! What are you doing, going to Vienna and not tasting the traditional Viennese Sacher at the ancient and very famous Hotel Sacher? But be prepared for the high bill! La famosissima reggia imperiale era essenzialmente la residenza estiva degli Asburgo, costituita da “solo” 1441 stanze in stile Rococò. La reggia ha anche lo zoo e un labirinto oltre a diverse zone e giardini particolari! 🇬🇧 You can't come to Vienna without visiting the most beautiful palace in Austria!
