-After breakfast at the hostel, I took an Uber to Plaza de Armas and the Government Palace. -I explored independently, but you can also book a walking tour for a more convenient and in depth experience. -Plaza de Armas in Lima is the historic heart of the city, and has colonial architecture, a grand fountain, and lush greenery. It's a vibrant gathering place bustling with locals, tourists, and street vendors and has the Government Palace where the president lives.

It is known for its stunning architecture, rich history, and religious significance as one of the most important churches in Peru. -Basic admission is free -If you want to see whole cathedral and house of archbishop you will pay $30 soles ( ~8 USD)

⛪️The Basilica Convent of San Francisco in Peru is a is known for its stunning architecture and extensive catacombs. -Tours of the church and catacombs last about 40 minutes and are offered in English. Entrance fee is about $5 USD. Aim to get there by 10:15 a.m for the 10:30 am tour - If you want to see something spooky, check out the underground catacombs in this church.

🐈Parque Kennedy is a vibrant hub in Lima with street food, lively performers, and the beloved resident cats. The park is nicknamed the “Cat Park” because of all of the cats who call the park home.

🍽️Eat dinner if you’re not full from all the street food you tried at Parque Kennedy at this affordable restaurant. I stopped to grab takeout from here before returning to my hostel. ‼️Go to bed early, there’s a long day of adventures ahead tomorrow

🌵Day Tour to Paracas, Isla Ballestas and Huacachina - Today is a very early start ! I was picked up from my accommodation at about 4:30 AM -Light breakfast is included in tour and is served on the bus -Paracas National Reserve is the first stop and you’ll arrive there at around 9:00 am -You’ll take a short boat ride to Isla Ballestas included in the day tour. Expect to see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, pelicans, and a variety of seabirds amidst breathtaking landscapes of cliffs. - After the boat ride, you will take a short bus ride to lunch. Free Pisco tasting is included !

🏜️Next you will go to Huacachina which is the only desert oasis in South America. It is nestled in the Peruvian desert, known for its stunning sand dunes and adventure sports like sandboarding and dune buggying. -A dune buggy ride is included in the tour along with sand boarding ! -You will make one stop on the way back for snacks. Expect to get back to Lima around 11 p.m to 12 a.m

🏨Checked into to my accommodation - I recommend taking a late morning flight from Cusco to Lima so you can sleep in a little bit after a long day -Budget friendly accommodation -dorms and private rooms -centrally located ‼️take it easy your first day, drink plenty of water and give your body time to acclimate to the high altitude. Have altitude sickness medicine on hand. Drink coca leaf tea to help with the altitude( ask any local where to get it). ‼️Very important to go to bed early for a good night’s rest, very early day ahead tomorrow !

⛰️ Take a Day Tour to the World Wonder Machu Picchu - Booked a day tour to Machu Picchu -All tickets are included + tour guide -Expect to be picked up at anywhere from 4:00 to 7:00 am depending on which option you choose to book -Bus ride to Ollantaytambo station takes about 2 hours, then you’ll take the train to Aguas Calientes takes which is about 2 hours. From Agua Calientes you will take a short bus ride to Machu Picchu. Don’t worry, it sounds like a lot but you’ll have a guide 🤗🗺️ -Dinner will be at a local restaurant recommended by your guide ( cost not included in tour)

🧗🏾♀️Sleep in one of the most unique hotels in the world. -Sleep in, take a morning nap or relax after a long day yesterday ! -I was picked up from my hostel at 1:00 pm for a 1hr and 30 minutes drive to Skyldoge Adventure Suites. -Skylodge Adventure Suites are these super cool, see-through pods hanging off a cliff 1312 ft high in Peru where you can sleep under the stars like a total daredevil! They've got zip-lining, rock climbing, and even sky dining, making it the ultimate spot for adrenaline junkies and thrill-seekers. -Dinner, breakfast, all equipment and activities are included -you can pay an additional fee for a photo package if you want. -For a more budget friendly option choose the day trip option at half the price. Day option pickup is a 9:00 am.
