MEXICO ITINERARY

We arrived to Mexico the 1st of October and checked directly into Nomads hostel. This place was absolutely lovely. The standards were high and the room was really beautiful. Staff was amazing and the activities arranged by the hostel were really good.

This has to be the most beautiful beach I have ever visited! I went on a beach trip organised by the hostel. When I got there I was almost too stunned to speak, cause I had never seen anything like it. Nothing beats Caribbean beaches.

Spent the evening by the pool at the nomads hostel. First day in Mexico really had us ready for more.

The first place we went to eat in Mexico, and it did not disappoint. I think we ate here almost every other day! The quesadillas were amazing and the place was super affordable! Beat place we ate in Cancun.

Today we moved to Selina hostel to stay in a dorm with some other guests. Everyone we stayed with were really nice and it was a good experience! They had great breakfast. Today we rented a car and headed into the country to se the famous chichen itzá!

We got to the area and visited a cenote nearby the chichen itzá. This was our first cenote ever and therefore it was a really good experience. After seeing several others, it wasn’t the coolest cenote in Mexico, but we enjoyed our stay.

Finally we arrived at our main destination for the day: Chichen-Itzá, the famous maya pyramid of Yucatan! We did a night show and it was definitely worth it. The pyramid was lit up and the experience was great! This day ended up being one of the best ones in Mexico.

Today we were invited out on a yatch by some locals and the day was absolutely amazing. We sailed to the Isla Mujeres and swam on the famous white beaches. We also had some delicious snacks on the boat.

We spent the evening at Playa Caracol, which was amazing. We just couldn’t get enough of the palms and the warm shallow blue/green water. After we walked almost all the way home to the Selina Hostel.

We went out to eat and see the hotel zone of Cancun! This place is super pretty and out a great ending to our time in Cancún.

In Playa del Carmen we stayed in Che hostel. This was a cute and clearly very popular! We stayed in a room with 4 others. This worked out just fine, however for the standards, the hostel was a bit pricey.

We went to the beach and had something to eat. The beaches in Playa del Carmen are really nice, however nothing can compare to the ones in Cancún. The beach has a volleyball court and we played for a while.

This night was absolutely amazing! Cocobongo is a night club combined with a show. The show was crazy cool. This is a must if you go to this part of Mexico.

We stayed at a super cute Airbnb while in Tulum. The bed was super big and comfortable and the shower was the best we had in a long time. I’ll stay here again if i go to Tulum!

This is a must-go in Tulum! We visited the Mayan ruins of the archeological zone in Tulum. We saw a lot of old buildings and also a lot of iguanas which made the visit extra fun!

In Tulum there are hundreds of cenotes that you can visit! We did the Casa Tortuga, which consists of 4 different cenotes. We did a guided tour. This was fun and definitely worth our money!

We ate dinner at this cute restaurant close to our Airbnb. It was really beautiful and the food was really good. However the servings were really small and also quite expensive. So it could definitely have been better.

This was definitely the highlight of Tulum! The jungle gym was a lot of fun and we spent almost 3 hours there. However it was super expensive. 30 dollars per person. Despite this, it was definitely worth it!

Today we ate at this restaurant close to the city centre. The food was really good, but a bit pricey. But today, that was definitely worth it!

Straw Hat Hostel is the best place to party in Tulum by far! We stayed here all night and had so much fun. We got so many friends as well! I’ll go back here on my next trip to Mexico for sure!

In Bacalar we stayed in a hotel called Oasis! We were supposed to stay at the Yak hostel, but it turned out that it was super expensive, and we’re so glad that we ended up in the hotel in stead! The room was beautiful and we slept so good.

This was our last day in Mexico and it was so well spent! We joined a boat cruise thingy that took us out into the lake of Bacalar. Never have I ever swam in water that beautiful. This is also a place I want to come back to!

Our last night in Mexico we ate at this cute lake-side restaurant called La playita. The food was good and they had a super cute restaurant cat! Mexico has been absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience. I can’t wait to go back.
