Norway on the road

We left from Milan – Oslo then Oslo – Evenes/Harstad Narvik and then car to Svolvær. It is the so-called capital of the Lofoten Islands and would also appear to be the oldest city in the Arctic Circle. We took Svolvær as a base for our travels and stayed at the Thon Hotel Svolvær, whose breakfast was rated the third best in Norway!

Henningsvær is the best-known fishing station on the archipelago and is known for its football stadium: a view beyond compare!

It is the last town of the Lofoten Islands, always reachable thanks to the E10 and has only 150 inhabitants. You will fall in love with its red rorbuer. You can also visit the stockfish museum

It is the northernmost park in the world and is immersed in the boreal taiga. You can see bears, lynxes, arctic foxes, wolves... adult tickets cost 265 NOK (24€), children 3-15 years 160 NOK (18€)

Alo known as the Arctic capital, Tromsø offers museums, experiences such as cruises around the island and the Arctic Cathedral where you can listen to concerts in celebration of the midnight sun or the Northern Lights. But not only...

Have you ever witnessed the phenomenon of the midnight sun? Here in the summer you can do it! take the cable car to Mount Storsteinen at a cost of €32 but you won't regret it..❤️

Just 20 minutes from Tromsø, there is the Villmarkssenter Husky center where you can meet almost 200 specimens of these beautiful dogs who are used for sleigh rides in winter 🐶

Entrance is free and you can get there by bus 28 or 32. Inside there are thousands of plants from all over the world, but the emphasis is on the species that thrive in the cold and snowy Norwegian winters

The Mack brewery at the Olhallen pub is the most northerly in the world, founded in 1928 and serves 72 beers on tap! 🍻

we decided to walk in uncontaminated nature and chose the largest canyon in northern Europe. 🚶‍♀️they are about 12 km in total, a medium-easy route

the facade, covered in titanium, reflects the northern lights and creates plays of light inside. Entrance fee 10 NOK

We then arrived in Honningsvag, the last town you come across before the North Cape. To get here we also went through an underwater tunnel 😱

🌍North Cape was the most spectacular stop of the whole trip! In reality it is not the true northernmost point of Europe but we are still happy for this achievement! In addition to the famous sculpture of the World, there is a Visitor Center (expensive and with unpleasant staff!!) and the sculpture of the 7 children of the World.

There are two routes that allow you to visit it and it is located in a lush natural context. Inside there are rock carvings dating back to the last Stone Age and are a UNESCO heritage site. Entrance fee 135 NOK

for a change we opted for mussels and chips, generous and good portions

we arrived in Oslo by plane, we immediately liked the city! From the airport we took the Flytoget train (20NOK) which takes you to the central station in 20 minutes 🚄

museum of the Fram polar ship, the most resistant in the world. you can even climb onto the restored ship, there are screens and videos that explain its history. I don't think I've ever seen such an interesting museum! Entrance 140 NOK
