Arriving in Iceland with clear skies was one of the most amazing travel experiences I've ever had! There is no country like it and those landscapes are just breathtaking. I can't wait to show you all that Iceland has to offer!

Welcome to Iceland and the iconic "Exit to Iceland" sign! It has almost become a tourist attraction in itself.

This is a very famous hot dog stand in Reykjavik that you definitely can't miss! Picking some hot dogs to take away and finding a place to sit down by the water is a perfect way to start taking in the vibe of Reykjavik.

If I could only do one thing in Iceland, this would be it! It's impossible to explain how amazing this lagoon is. It's located slightly outside of Reykjavik and it has the most breathtaking ocean views from their infinity pool. It's also there that a famous sauna with an ocean view can be found!

This hotel has such a great value for money! It's not cheap but quite reasonable for icelandic standards. The hotel is very well located in the center of Reykjavik, a short walk away from the church.

Great food for a very reasonable price in the very center of Reykjavik! They have take-away options.

This has to be the most iconic building in Reykjavik! When you're walking around the city center, this is the building you will constantly see and use as an orientation point. You can go up to the top or simply admire it from the outside.

Straight in front of the church, you can find the most famous statue in Reykjavik. It's a statue of Leifur Eiríksson, which is probably the most famous hero from the Viking period in Iceland. The statue is a gift from the US and it was standing there before the church was even built.

You want to see the locals of Reykjavik relaxing and socializing, this lake in the city center is the place to go. It's perfect to eat lunch with a great view as well!

This UNESCO World Heritage site is a place that definitely can't be missed when in Iceland. It's not that far away from Reykjavik so it can easily be visited as a half-day trip. Take your time to walk around and enjoy the unique landscape. This is the place where the first parliament in the World was founded!

A northern lights tour departing from Reykjavik's harbour is a very popular activity among tourists. In our case, the tour was quite a waste of money and time since the lights weren't visible that night. But you never know when you might be lucky!

Last night in Reykjavik so we went to see the church illuminated one last time after passing by the hotel to freshen up. See you again sometime, Reykjavik!

One of the most impressive places I've ever seen! Visiting during winter was amazing since then we got to see the frozen water at the bottom of the crater.

This is the oldest lagoon in Iceland and it's really worth a visit while going around the Golden Circle! It's much smaller and more simple than for example the Sky Lagoon but there's something special there: you can see boiling water coming up all around it and even a river of hot water.

The famous geyser that shoots up water every 5 to 10 minutes. This is such a bucket list thing to experience!

This is a restaurant that is located right next to the Geysir so it's the perfect place for lunch. The location is extremely convenient and even though it's a very touristic place, the prices were quite reasonable and the food was perfect. The pizza was so big I had to take some away.

The biggest waterfall in Europe doesn't disappoint! This place is so unbelievably beautiful, it must be on everyone's itineraries to Iceland. There are several viewpoints of the waterfall but they are all very easily accessible.

The famous Icelandic horses are so unique and cute. A stop at a farm in the countryside of Iceland is the perfect way to finish a Golden Circle tour.

This was the place where we finally saw the northern lights! We booked this place specifically because it's outside of the city so it gets quite dark and it makes it easier to see the northern lights in case they are active. This was such a dream come true ✨

Time to say goodbye to this beautiful place but not without exploring a bit first! This is honestly one of the most unique places I've ever stayed at. It's a tiny peninsula so there's ocean views from almost anywhere and there's even a sauna and bubble pool where you can enjoy the views!

Time for some luxury! The Silica Hotel is one of two hotels located at the famous Blue Lagoon. The other one is a 5 star hotel which is extremely expensive so I would really recommend the Silica Hotel as a luxury stay that doesn't have a completely outrageous price.

By staying at the Silica Hotel, guests have a private Blue Lagoon! We literally stayed there the whole afternoon and were practically the only ones there. This is honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life and worth every penny that this hotel stay costs.

This restaurant at the Blue Lagoon is so special! It was built in a lava field and you can eat with a view to the Blue Lagoon. If this isn't the coolest dining experience in the whole Iceland, I don't know which is.

Another experience you really can't miss in Iceland! Many people say it's too touristic but I really don't agree. The lagoon is so huge that we never felt we couldn't find a relaxed place to be by ourselves. This place has a very magical vibe and it quickly became one of my favorite places I've ever visited.

Time to enjoy our last hours in paradise! Even after the check-out time, we could stay at the Hotel's private Blue Lagoon until it was time to go to the airport. It was the most relaxing experience ever and I will never forget that place.

Goodbye Iceland! What an experience it was 💕 They refer to this country as "planet Iceland" sometimes and now I really understand why. I will be back!
