From Quillabamba it is closer than from Cusco (by train). In any case, to reach this wonder you need to get to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo).

We took two buses: one to Santa Teresa (2h) and one to Hydroelectric Power Plant (25').

From here the 3h walk (or the 15' train) to get to the city (Aguas Calientes) Where the other path to Machu Picchu begins! Obviously we always prefer to go on foot because it is more satisfying and then we met a Peruvian Omar with whom we made friends and shared 2/3 of the route!
