Manchester footballweekend

Smooth and great excperience arriving Manchester airport late evening at terminal 2. 9min walk to the trains which go often to the city center.

Arrived late from Oslo to Manchester friday night for a long weekend with football match on sunday.

Oxford street station. The third station from Manchester airport. Approx 17-18min. Only 4-5min walk to the Maldron Manchester hotel city center. We also were in Manchester in july. Then we stayed at the Brooklyn hotel Manchester. Approx 15min walk from this station. Picadilly station is probably closer to this hotel

Quick chek in, nice reception. The breakfast the next morning was delicious, typical english breakfast. Room is clean with a great bed

Quick fastfood just right outsode the corner. Ok if you arrive late and too tired to walk to find somethinf to eat. We ordered chicken wings, fries and chicken nuggets.

We went to the Librabry by walking. Just a 15 minutes walk from the Maldron Hotel CC. The library is open to the public and free. We came just before 11am, and joined a free 30min guided tour at 11am. It was very informativ and interesting to here the history of the Library. Built in 1900 with a gothic style so it appears much older Absolutely worth a visit!

Museum and Stadium tour at Old Trafford. If you are a MANU fan, this is a must! Book in advance, especially if there are a match the days after. It will get full

Perfect shop for good English tea. Always visit this store while in the UK. Free tastinf.

English pub is a must while in UK. We went to this pub because it was just outside the place we booked afternoon tea. Good selection of draught beer. The food looked also delicious

Went here first to get a quick bite and some beer. The Wetherspoon group has a good selcetion of beer and good prices on cocktails and beers. It's popular and often busy, we had to go to another place because it was no tables left. If your only there for drinks, then there will be no problem

Afternoon tea at Annie's. We booked at table in advance in the cosy lounge. If you want a full meal, we recommend to book in the restaurant. The loung is perfect for a cup of tea and some scones. We had the traditional afternoon tea with a glass od champagne. My husband dont fancy tea so much, so he got a cup of hot chocolate. Coffee is also available. I had a cup of yorkshire tea. Hot water refill is possible.

Beautiful cathedral with nice gothic arcitechture. Sadly it was closed due to an event this saturday. Normally open everyday until 6:30pm

Close to the cathedral you will find the department store selfridges. Several floors with clothes, beauty, accessorizes. Luxury items. Open until 8pm on saturdays.

Big shopping center next to selfridges with all the stores you need.

Northern Monk refrectory, a brewing brand. Great quality beer, but also guest brewerys on tap. 15min walk from Arndale center

Great irish pub with live music every friday and saturday. They showed the rugby final, so the plave where very busy. The kitchen closes at 7.30pm. We did'nt get anything to eat this evening, but went here again next evening. The food was delicious. Recommend brisket beef and fish and chips. Propably one of the best fish and chips.

Late food after been at an irish pub with live music. Fast and typically english fastfood woth fish and chips. This store lies at the piccadilly station. You can also get different sorts of pies here. Open until midnight

Visited the football museum in july 23. Great excperience if you are interested in football and the history around it. It closes at 6pm.

Great atmosphere before a united match and a must if you are a united fan! We went here 4 hours before the match, and it was already crowded with supporters. Lovely! Great prizes for beer. You must have a match ticket to get in on match days and 1 pound in cash for entrance! ATM 50meters from the pub.

Manchester united against Manchester city. For city fans, you should visit ethiad stadium

Tasty asian food. Orderes noodles and ramen. Not disappointed. The mocktail's is also very good here.

Known at the most busy and the airport with most delays, it was not like that this early morning. Okey, you yor hand luggage had to be checked, you had to wait one hour in the security. Good prices in duty free

Good experience, under construction know. Think it will be a nice airport.

Disappointed! Ham and cheese toast with fries and nachos with chicken. Not clean
