Excellent

Welcome to Jeddah! After you have made yourself comfortable in your hotel room, start your journey to Al Balad. Unfortunately there is not a good public transportation system in Jeddah, so opt for a Uber or careem. Al Balad is an historical town in the second largest city of Saudi Arabia. The charm is spectacular and in the evening this area comes alive. However, during the day it’s way less crowded and it’s more enjoyable in my opinion. But make sure to come back when it’s dark. Also Check out Bait Nassif and some of the cafes in the area. We will take it easy today, since you have just arrived. Tomorrow will be a day full of adventure!

Make sure to book in advance or go to a dive shop the day before to book a dive! If you have never been diving in the Red Sea this will change your life! One of the best places to dive in the world! And one of the best things to do in Saudi Arabia. Plan the whole day for this experience. If diving is not your thing, make sure to book a snorkel trip. You don’t have to go deep to see amazing marine life. These trips normally include lunch.

After your shower head over to the Corniche and wander around looking at the beautiful architecture and treat yourself to a delicious dinner. Check out the floating mosque as well as the yacht club.

It’s time to hit the road for an over night camping trip. Rent a car and stop at Al Hada to enjoy a tea and the spectacular view over the mountains. You will most likely spot a lot of baboons!

This is gonna be quite a long drive but it will be worth it. Al Wahba is a crater! For a long time it was believed that Al Wahbah Crater was created by an ancient meteor strike. But now geologist found out that the crater was created by volcanic activity in the form of an underground eruption that was caused when a flow of magma hit an underwater source which resulted in a colossal explosion creating the crater. The white part is sodium phosphate. Unfortunately it is forbidden to hike down since a few people died during this attempt. But you have wonderful views all around. Pitch your tent and enjoy the view! You might even be lucky to spot some camels on the way.

After packing up your tent head to Medina. This was also one of my best experiences in Saudi. This city is just so fascinating. You feel like a different person after visiting. Please dress appropriately and be respectful since this is one of the most holy sites in Islam. You will be able to see the first mosque that was ever established (Quba mosque) and so much more. Wadi E Jin is close by Medina, so make sure to check this area out as well if you are more of a nature fan. It is also possible to camp there. After a wonderful day and a nice dinner it is time to go back to Jeddah to get a good nights rest.

It is time for another camping adventure! Moon Valley is just one hour from Jeddah. You can buy fire wood and marshmallows! It’s easily accessible by car, but you still have to be careful when entering the Valley because of the rocks. You can spot camels and enjoy the view of the crazy boulders!

In Saudi you don’t even need a tent, you can just sleep under the stars. A carpet would be useful though. And enjoy the beautiful night sky!

I Hope you had a good trip! There is still so much more to see in Saudi. But if you are short on time this itinerary is a good way to explore the country in a hassle free time. If you want to see more though make sure to check out AlUla, Umluj, and so on. However I will make itineraries for the north, the south and the east! So make sure to follow. Have a safe flight!
