The flight to Lukla is only 35 minutes! Once landed in "The most dangerous airport in the world" you can have a good coffe and breakfast and start to enjoy your trekking to Phakding

PHAKDING (2.652 Mt/5-6 hours walking) ---------------------------------------------------------- We are now in the Khumbu Valley, and Phakding is the main stopping point for the first night! Beacuse of tourism industry you will find here and a great number of guesthouses and lodges.

Namche Bazaar (3.440 mt/5-6 hours walking) --------------------------------------------------------------- This village is one of the main stops on the trail up to Everest Base Camp, and is a great place to spend two days. You MUST spend at least a couple of days ACCLIMATISING in Namche.

Dingboche (4.358 mt/6-7 hours walking) ---------------------------------------------------------------- This Sherpa village is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers for acclimatization purposes. One of the characteristics of Dingboche is the kilometers of stone walls, built using the stones of different sizes that cover the entire Valley. These stones are removed in order to plow the soil and end up being piled one over the other creating kilometers of walls.

EVEREST BASE CAMP! (5.364 mt) ----------------------------------------------------------------- CONGRATULATIONS! You succeded! You reached at EBC: the base to climb the tollest mountain in the world!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Once here maybe you won't feel good...maybe you could have headache, cold, cough, and you will feel very tired! But you will understand what really means to complete a difficult journey, what means to trek on Himalaya Mountains and you will feel proud of yourself!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------- You can stay one hour, if you feel good on the rudimentary campsite at the base of Mount Everest, used by professional climbers during their ascent! ENJOY YOUR SUCCESS!!!!

After reached your goal of this journey its better to back to get rest in GORAK SHEP! ----------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: lodges at Gorak Shep are really basic, in recent times more modern amenities have become available, such as satellite high-speed internet access

KALA PATTHAR (5,550 mt/4 hours walking) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- If you still feel healthy you can try an ascent on Kala Patthar, which looks like a giant dune looming over the lakebed, and provides you the BEST VIEW OF EVEREST..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Climbing must start in the early morning, when the visibility is usually better, and to take your BEST PICTURE EVER... It takes four hours to summit and come back.

PHERICHE (4,371 mt/7-8 hours walking) ---------------------------------------------------------------- In Pheriche village you can find many other lodges where to get rest, a WI-FI connection,and a rudimentary hospital that is open only during the two seasons. ---------------------------------------------------------------- If available you can try to sleep into the lodge which is inside the INTERNATIONAL PYRAMID LABORATORY - OBSERVATORY
