Osaka Adventure

We loved how convenient this hotel was. It was less than a five minute walk from the train station. And we found our room to be so spacious, which we found to to be rare in Japan. The view from our window was stunning!

Okay maybe the Pokemon Cafe is a tiny bit touristy - but when in Japan! The food was cute but is not winning any awards. If you can get a res it’s totally worth it for the experience.

The famous walking street is a must stop at while in Osaka. Filled with delicious street food and neon lights, you can easily spend hours exploring.

End the night at Kokomo for reasonably priced drinks, fun bar tenders, and a laid back atmosphere with good music!

Taking a day trip to Nara is a must, especially when it’s such a close train ride away.

This is really the biggest draw of coming to Nara!The free roaming deer as so friendly and cute. You can buy deer crackers from stands within the park and feed them. It’s such a unique experience and they literally are everywhere!

This is a great photo spot! And seeing the deer’s lounging in front of the temples is so cool.

On your way back to the train stop and grab a snack at Family Mart!

Tasty restaurant where they specialize in different types mackerel dishes. This was right near our hotel and was popular with the locals.

You’ve got to spend sometime at Osaka Castle park while in the area! The grounds are beautiful as is the castle itself. This spot can get crowded as it’s a major tourist hotspot. I suggest going early or being creative with your angles of you want to get people free shots!

This was such a fun and unique attraction. Located inside the grounds of Osaka castle, this was a neat action figure museum. It was an awesome break from the intense summer heat.

This was a tasty cafe that was great for a quick bite! Get the takoyaki here! 😋

We were in town during Tenjin Matsuri so we explored the area a little bit and watched some parade processionals. The food vendors in the area were top notch! We tried a whole bunch of different street foods and snacks.

After spending most of the day around the festival area we came back to Dotonbori for the evening. The energy here is just palpable and there is so much to see.

We needed the night at the Pub for some drinks and views!

We stated the day by grabbing the viral ten yen coin pancake and it was as delicious as people have been saying!

We spent a good deal of time wandering around Don Quixote. They literally have everything!

Tenjin Matsuri was still going on so we spent the rest of the day exploring the festival area!

Fushimi Inari had been on my bucket list for so long!!! And it was every bit as incredible as I hoped it would be. Pro tip: go early!!! This shrine gets incredibly crowded. We went on a sunrise mission and it was so worth it to get the uninterrupted photos.

The gold leaf on this building is really so brilliant! Another crowded but so worth visiting Kyoto highlight.

This was some of the best sushi I had in Japan. This omakase style experience was incredibly great and delicious!
