This was the last trip that we went with our pigo (Ford Figo—we call it pigo out of love). We were actually traveling to Trivandrum for family reasons. After we got done with our family affairs, suddenly we thought about just going to Dhanushkodi, as it was near (we assumed). We started around 10 a.m. in the morning and reached there around 6 p.m. in the evening. We stayed at a hotel in Rameshwaram and planned to visit Dhanushkodi the next morning, which was 19 km from our stay.

Excellent

How can I explain this beauty that I saw with my eyes, which still stays in my head and replays the scene again and again? Since I saw the movie Mayanadhi, I wanted to come here. One of the songs in that movie, “Uriyin Naadhiye,“ was shot here. But honestly, that was not the only reason I wanted to come to Dhanushkodi. The fact that it’s the end of India and standing on that end gives you goosebumps that can’t be explained but only can be experienced. I came here to experience it. So as I said, it’s the end, or edge, as we can call it. It’s also a point where the Bay of Bengal meets the Arabian Sea. So on one side, you see a very calm sea, and on the other, you see a roaring and waving sea. Basically, I felt like a dual tone. I would like to call it two aspects of life, where one individual is a mixture of both calmness and wildness. It’s a beauty. Nature gives you a great example. I tried to see Sri Lanka from here, but unfortunately I couldn't. Hopefully next time I will bring a binoculus. 😅😅
