Larnaca Cyprus

Check in time! This little hotel was beautiful and in a great location. I definitely recommend it for solo travelers and maybe couples. I arranged a ride from the airport ahead of time who brought me to the studios.

For day 1 breakfast, I had the cypriot breakfast to see what it was all about. It was good, but too much food for me. 🤣 This café is really nice and cute and relaxing during the day and popular at night for drinks as well.

I walked down to the beach area, and decided to go into the castle since it was right there. It was inexpensive and not too time consuming.

Another angle of the church! I did a little souvenir shopping and took a rest in the room. There are shops all over the area that are not badly priced. I got some little bronze statues of aphrodite and a horse for 20€ each and a cheesy flamingo beach bag. I also got some takeout wine and dried fruits to take to the beach.

I liked the atmosphere of this place, so I gave it a go. I don't remember the beer I had, but I remember it was my 2nd or 3rd choice because they were out of a lot of beers. I had some calamari and it was nice.

I booked an Airbnb experience to see other parts of Cyprus. This experience was really special. My guide was so much fun to spend the day with. We started with Governor's beach, just to take a look since it's not really swim season yet.

We went on a hike in Pissouri Bay. It was really nice because the views were amazing and the trail wasn't crowded at all. This was a more local experience and didn't feel touristy at all.

The colorful pebbles are so beautiful. We had a nice rest on the beach after the long hike.

We went to the mosque on the way back because the host felt bad the day went quicker than anticipated. 🤣 There are a lot of cats around and you can see flamingos in the lake behind the mosque.

You can't come to Cyprus without having souvlaki, right? The service was really nice here. I had a souvlaki and fries and a huge beer. Scarfed it down without taking a picture. Oops.

I signed up for another Airbnb experience to experience free diving at the underwater museum. This was so much fun! The underwater museum was so eerie and the hosts gave great advice on how to freedive. I want to learn for real now! The hosts took fun photos of me underwater, which I have since lost. We went to snorkel at another area well-known for turtles. We could see the turtles, but the water was quite rough and it was a rocky area so we decided not to go in.

We did get in the water for the sea caves. It was sooo beautiful! There were some fish to see, but not too many. The water was freezing, but it was a beautiful experience.

Gotta stop and appreciate the street art.

I had some delicious pizza and wine at this place in the pedestrian area. It was definitely a nice treat and a great place for people watching.
